Orama Oasis has a rich history of giving people hope and a vision for the future through their experiences here. Pioneered by Neville and Dorothy Winger in 1963, Orama began as a Christian conference and ministry centre. This ministry has had an international impact through the many people that have been transformed and moved on to positions of leadership.
In recent years, Orama has been through a major transition. The facility closed in 2004 until a new Trust Board was appointed and a new vision formulated in 2005, when the centre re-opened. Much work has gone into developing a ministry and an operating model based on the historic mission of Orama but relevant and accessible to people today.
