Demelza dives right in

Demelza Scott-Weekly is volunteering for the month of June. She has been spending her time working in the kitchen and also helping Arnie in the garden. Demelza has a great sense of humour (guess you have to be when you’re in the back-cracking business – she’s an osteopath) and has fitted easily into community life.

Stream strengthening is ongoing

Work is continuing to strengthen the banks of the stream with gabion baskets. Arnie and David are getting the next section of the stream done before the winter hits. This project has been ongoing for three years as we work to address the risk of another flooding event like the one in July 2014.
