Here’s a post the The Tripper Society put on Facebook about the lastest trip out here from the Anglican Trust for Women & Children. They filmed the 2017 camp at Orama and captured the joy of the children and their mums who stayed with us for 5 days of fun and teaching.
“It doesn’t matter who you are, what your background is, or where you come from – experience is what matters most’. On the 8th of January we set out from Auckland City by boat with 7 families for their first ever holiday and proper experience with the great outdoors on Great Barrier Island. The following snapshot of events consist of the week placed on Great Barrier Island and the many great experiences and reconnections that were had, captured via film. For us this was the most humbling experience to date being able to see first hand the extent of reconnection gained between not just one another, but with the natural environment. This is our story. Massive thanks to Anglican Trust for Women and Children for organising this experience for all involved and inviting us to film. Massive thanks to Orama Oasis for the amazing hospitality and having us. Like, comment and share to spread the positive word! #trippersociety”
