Volunteer at Orama
There is opportunity for those with a desire to serve in a volunteer capacity at our Great Barrier Island community. References and police checks are mandatory and stays from 3 to 12 months are possible. Specialist skills are always needed eg. carpenters, plumbers, mechanics etc, or you may have experience in horticulture or cooking, whatever your ability the most important thing is willingness, flexibility and a sense of humuor. Orama has many and varied daily tasks in order to keep the complex functioning. In return, you will have the opportunity to experience island life in a friendly community setting, which can be both an enriching and rewarding experience.
