Prayer/Ministry

Orama has run many successful ministry activities in the past; a Bible School, a rehab programme, YWAM DTS courses, a book publishing house and more.

In this rebuilding phase of the life and ministry of Orama we are looking to the One who inspired Orama's beginning and who also sustains its future life.   We believe He wants to do something amazing and wonderful here and we feel honoured to be a part of it.

Bob and Lynne Mitchener have a call to the prayer and worship movement that God is raising up around the world and have also been called to Orama for this season. We have been challenged and inspired by the International House of Prayer in Kansas City and have visited there on three occasions, the last time for a 3 month sojourn.

While we do not feel equipped or necessarily called to establish a 24/7 house of prayer, we would love to see some form of a training environment with a prayer furnace at Orama.  To this end we are calling intercessors, musicians and people with a heart for prayer, worship and the prophetic to contact us in order to explore what could become a unique expression of worship, prayer and intercession on Great Barrier Island, the historic gateway to New Zealand.

We are very excited about the Inflame Worship Schools and subsequent internships that are being offered at Orama.  As these called Levites gather we believe the payer and worship furnace will begin to ignite and will usher in a new release of the presence of God in midst, in our cities and in our nation.

We now have a dedicated prayer chapel where anyone can go to spend quality time with God.  We are grateful to the Lord for releasing this to us and to those who have generously given toward this becoming a reality.

If you have a heart for any of the above then we would love to hear from you.

We would like to share with you some of the prohetic art that we have been creating in the prayer room as we stand before Him in adoration. Enjoy.
