Insight - Discovering A Vision for Christian Community

 Course Description

The Orama Christian Community is Christ centered and committed to a practical and genuine observance of the principles of Christian faith as expressed in the Bible. Community members understand that God can be expressed and discovered in practical and service oriented daily work as well as in time spent alone or worshipping in the company of others. This environment provides a unique opportunity for course participants not only to learn about the principles of community, but also to work out this knowledge in practice within a culture committed to expressing the reign of God on earth.

The course includes theory, inspirational teaching as well as regular prayer and worship. All this whilst engaged in the real opportunities and challenges of living and working in an intentional and service oriented Christian community. Whilst not all experiences will be easy, we expect that each person will remain responsible for maintaining healthy boundaries and self care in their interactions with others. Presentations will follow three main topical threads: community life, rela- tionship with self and God, and relationship with others.

Course participants can expect to learn practical skills and principles for community living as they also develop a greater understanding and integration of their personal gifting, abilities and personal traits.

Prophetic Painting School

Now in 3 separate one month modules

A word from Graham Braddock . . . . .  I’m working with Bob & Lynne Mitchener of Orama to bring together a School of Prophetic Painting in the latter part of 2010.   This is because for much of my life I have longed and prayed to see art created that truly carries the anointing of God upon it. I’ve struggled with questions like:  How is it brought to birth? and, What does it look like?

Finally, I feel prompted to call together people from the younger generation who combine a longing to be really competent painters with a desire to know God’s heart and learn His ways as artists. I, and other experienced artists, want to pass on to them as much experience and practical know-how as we can manage (I wish there had been a School like this when I was a young man)!

This is an exciting project, but a scary one. Though I can teach traditional drawing and painting skills, (see www.grahambraddock.net and www.grahambraddock.com) I will be aiming at two goals. To train our students to create great paintings that work visually and also develop our ability to hear from God and translate those impressions into images that will have impact.

Yours in seeking to extent God’s Kingdom through the eye gate,.

Students may now register for one, two or all three of the following modules.
