Orama

Outdoor activities available on the property include: short bush walks, fishing, swimming, snorkeling, coastal walks and rock scrambling, and grass volley-ball. Orama also has a rec hall for basket ball, babminton and table tennis. The onsite staff of the outdoor pursuits trust are available to hire out equipment for outdoor activities including, sea kayaks, dinghies, etc.  (see link to their site).

Glenfern Sanctuary Guided Walk

Ride in the Unimog, a 4WD all terrain army vehicle up to Sunset Rock for a view of the 150 acre reserve.  Walk through regenerating forest where some of the native plants have descriptive plaques and cross the suspension bridge into the crown of a 600 year old kauri tree.  Contact Glenfern for more information.

Boat Charter

A 40 foot cruising yacht is available for scenic tours and Port Fitzroy Harbour trips.  Gather a group of up to twelve friends and share the cost of boat and skipper hire.  Scenic or picnic trips around the harbour are no trouble to arrange to suit your requirements. A day trip to Little Barrier Island is weather dependent and will require a Department of Conservation permit if you are to land.
