A life-changing environment for youth groups

The wonderful Great Barrier experience, along with the Christian heritage and mission of Orama all combine to make your youth groups’ experience something very special.

“Not only do some of our young people still rave about that camp [at Orama], but we have a number of key young people who came to Christ at that camp who are now in ministry! We could not have done it without [Orama’s] help!“ Matt, Divisional Youth Secretary, Salvation Army Youth Leader

“We have definitely not ever had such success in our youth camps as we have seen in the last few years with you guys at Orama , it is definitely the highlight of the year for everyone.” Ross, Youth Pastor.

Our aim is to provide your youth group with the best ever camp experience! Orama Oasis is a safe, alcohol and drug free environment and opportunities to combine outdoor adventure, Christian teaching and creation care have helped to make youth events at Orama relevant and contemporary.

We can accommodate up to 120 people from budget bunkrooms through to modern, self contained units, with full catering or self catering options available. Camp sites and a camp kitchen are also available for groups looking for the super-budget option or to accommodate larger numbers. We also offer plenty of indoor activity options including a lecture/group room facility, expansive lounge and recreation hall.

In partnership with Hillary Outdoors we are able to offer

  • a brilliant high ropes course in a magnificent setting

  • abseiling

  • sea and surf kayaking

  • sailing along with facilitated coasteering

  • guided and unguided bush walks with varying degrees of difficulty

  • an onsite climbing wall

We’re here to help - call us to plan an outstanding youth group camp.
